Dayna Moth Meyer (they/she) is a zinester, writer, and art-maker from Kansas City, MO.
They are the author of the zine series catmothcrow and Pocci, as well as The Witchy Zinester’s Pocket Book of Spells, Hagwitch, and Riding Roller Coasters with Vincent Price.Their work explores themes of identity, magic, exploration, motivation, curiosity, and community. Dayna’s zines have been archived in the Museum of Contemporary Witchcraft, the Kansas City Public Library, the Neither/nor Zine Library, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection, the Denver Zine Library, and the LaBudde Special Collections at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
In addition to writing their own zines, Dayna facilitates Kansas City’s monthly Zine Club and has volunteered with the KC Zine Collective since 2017, helping plan and coordinate KC Zine Con, the midwest’s DIY Publishing Fest.
When they’re not creating art and crafting zines, Dayna works as Creative Director at Kansas City Repertory Theatre (KCRep), and they have been the artist for all of the theatre’s poster art since 2018.
